Fire Station Renovation Project
Thursday, 22 October 2009 13:45

The Dousman Fire District recently received approval from all three communities that comprise the District on its plan for renovating the fire station. The next step is determining the financing of the project, which is estimated to cost $400,000 for the construction and furnishings. Financing is likely to be done over a 10 year period with payments divided between Summit, Ottawa, and Dousman based upon the Fire District funding formula as agreed upon by the three communities.

Below are links to the scope of the renovation project, a PowerPoint presentation that was given at the 2008 Fire District Annual Meeting on the project, and a one-page fact sheet. We hope this information will answer any questions you may have.

Thank you for your support and continued interest in our renovation project. We would be more than happy to have you stop in at the fire station for a tour, or to answer any additional questions you might still have.
